General Monthly Meeting Mintues for February 18, 2025

Call to Order

Mike Allen called the meeting to order at 8:01 P.M.

 

Secretary’s report

Chris Shrodes read the minutes of the meeting held on February 18, 2025.  A motion was made, and seconded, to accept the minutes, as submitted, and that they be entered into the organization’s records.  There was no meeting held in the Month of March.   All members in attendance voted in favor, with no objections, and the motion was approved. 

 

Treasurer's report

Treasurer Paul Zelenak provided the treasurer report providing a breakdown of numbers that included paid members, associate members, and dues income.  An additional $75 was received as reimbursement for the banquet.  All members in attendance voted in favor, with no objections, and the motion was approved.  Should any members not attending this meeting need information on the current financial position of the club, please reach out to Paul Zelenak.

 

Membership report

Joshua Casto reported that the current paid membership has increased from 29 to 31, with 7 of the 31 being associate members.  A motion was made, and seconded, to accept the Membership report, as submitted.  All members in attendance voted in favor, with no objections, and the motion was approved.

 

Activities Report

Rich McCoy said the May ride will be the second Sunday of the month. Rich informed the group that he had reserved 11 sites for the BMW MOA National Rally in Lebanon, Tennessee, June 19-21. There will be a group leaving on June 18th and invite all to join the ride if attending the rally.

 

Historic markers visits was proposed for the 2025 club competition, this will require club members to provide “Bikies” (selfie with bike) with visits to historic markers, the highest number of documented visits wins!

 

A motion was made, and seconded, to accept the Activities report, as submitted.  All members in attendance voted in favor, with no objections, and the motion was approved. 

 

Old & new business

AMA Club charters for 2025 were received and presented at the meeting. Ohio Secretary of State recognizes the Buckeye Beemers as a business entity, valid until December of 2026.

 

2025 Buckeye Beemer Dinner Ride schedule forthcoming. Rides will occur weekly on Wednesday, leaving Midohio at 6:00pm.

 

52 people attended Motohio on March 7th to view the newly released BDR Southeast Backcountry Discovery route promotion film. The event was sponsored by Triumph.

A motion was made, and seconded, to accept Old and New Business and all members in attendance voted in favor, with no objections, and the motion was approved.

 

Next Meeting

The next club meeting will be on Tuesday, May 20th.  Location - Shirkies Pizza Zone, 70 East Canal Street, Carroll, OH 43112

 

Adjournment

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Mike Allen at 8:36 PM, which was seconded, with all members in attendance voting in favor, with no objections, and the motion was approved.  The meeting was then adjourned.
